there. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelors of Humanities and Arts in Fine Arts and Decision Science. My work encourages viewers to question the social and economic forces that dictate their decision-making (or lack thereof). I create participatory public interventions that examine the thoughts and actions of myself and my peers as products of ideological state apparatuses. As a Brown American femme born and miseducated in Pennsylvania, I found myself beguiled by Middle Americans' cultural traditions and disturbed by their blissful ignorance--compelled by the promise of the American mythos and repulsed by its hypocritical self. This tension links my works' aesthetics to their extra-aesthetic context. My paintings apply spiritual metonymy to secular artifacts to expose the vulgar reality of mundane life under capitalism. By bastardizing Western intellectual and beauty standards, I confront workers' conditioning under white supremacy, Christian nationalism, and capitalism through humor, controversy, and Unpredictability.
